Great Recipe for Soft Pretzels

Who doesn’t love pretzels?  Well, I suppose there could be someone somewhere who doesn’t.  Everybody I know is a big fan of this yeast treat. The recipe I have today is a good one. The pretzels are soft, pre-boiled them baked, and made without fat. They also contain plenty of complex carbohydrates, making them a good healthy choice for your snack or breakfast.  Add a piece of fruit and cheese and you have a lovely make-and-take breakfast.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Chocolate Kugelhuph for Easter Brunch?

How about a rich, chocolately sweet bread, good enough to call dessert, to serve at your Easter brunch? Or you could have it with afternoon tea.

Is it bread or cake?  You decide, but it does call for yeast. It also contains chocolate, pecans, and dried cherries or cranberries.

Kugelhuph, also known as gugelhuph, may have originated in Eastern Europe.

Chocoalte Kugelhuph is the best yet.

Excellent Recipe for Orange Flavored Hot Cross Buns

There is no doubt about it -- using a bread machine takes a lot of the work out of baking bread and rolls.

These bread machine hot cross buns are fairly fast and easy to make -- especially if you rise the dough in the microwave.

They are flavored with orange, for something a little different. However, if you prefer the traditional flavor, just replace the orange juice with water.

The recipe makes about ten hot cross buns but you can adapt it to make 18.
